Чтобы положить конец пандемии коронавируса, США и международные партнеры активизируют сотрудничество по передаче в дар вакцин против COVID-19 в различные страны и регионы мира.
В рамках глобальной борьбы с коронавирусом США уже приняли, в частности, следующие меры:
- передали зарубежным странам более 561 млн доз вакцин;
- закупили 1 млрд доз вакцин для передачи 100 развивающимся странам;
- выделили 4 млрд долларов на реализацию глобальной инициативы по справедливому распределению безопасных и эффективных вакцин против COVID-19;
- поставляют критически важные для борьбы с коронавирусом лекарственные препараты, оборудование и другую помощь для содействия восстановлению экономики, преодолению нехватки продуктов питания и укреплению систем здравоохранения.
“Соединенные Штаты являются главным в мире арсеналом вакцин в нашей совместной борьбе с вирусом, – заявил в июне 2021 года президент США Джозеф Байден. – Мы продолжим делать все в наших силах для построения безопасного мира, более устойчивого перед лицом угрозы распространения инфекционных заболеваний”.
